    1. If you meet the requirements for Mediavine, you can apply and they will accept you if you meet their criteria. Mediavine places ads automatically to maximize ad revenue, but you can work with Mediavine to ensure you are happy with those placements.

  1. Hi Eb, thanks for the great info on Mediavine. But I would like to know something. What if the majority of my website visitors are from countries other than the UK and the US? Can i be accepted to join them?

    1. Hi Habakkuk – glad you found my article helpful! Mediavine say that ‘Traffic from the US monetizes at a higher rate than traffic from other countries. But that is not to say that we don’t accept international traffic — WE DO! What we are looking for here is a breakdown in locations that will be good for revenue. Canada, the UK, Australia and the Netherlands all also tend to be high on the list for advertiser spend.‘ So if your website traffic comes from countries that have high advertiser spend, then Mediavine are likely to accept you. However, if your traffic comes from countries with low advertiser spend, then they probably won’t. However, country is only one variable. There are other variables at play which may also make a difference, such as niche. Mediavine will look at each website on a case by case basis. So if you have reached the sessions requirement, I would apply anyway. Hope that helps! Eb 🙂

  2. Why don’t have Ads turned on for this site? You state how for this blog you would have earned a lot of money for an AFFILIATE link, yet according to some research your organic traffic is only around 14,000? You stated in this article that you had 100,000 traffic? Please can you direct me to your site that uses mediavine?

    1. Good question! I don’t have Mediavine ads on Productive Blogging for a number of reasons, but the main one is because I mainly monetize this site via digital products. There will always be something of a tension between ads and digital products and I didn’t want to hinder my digital product revenue by putting ads on this site. Ultimately I believe I can make more money from this site via digital products alone than by having both ads and digital products in tandem. Also, I am not sure where you are getting your statistics from, but this site gets considerably more than 14,000 pageviews per month. It would definitely qualify for Mediavine ads. I’ve just chosen not to go down that route for this site. As I mention in the blog post above, the site I monetize via Mediavine ads is my food blog http://www.easypeasyfoodie.com. There I have made a very different decision and that site is monetized almost exclusively via Mediavine ads (and also these days it gets a lot more than 100,000 monthly pageviews! That 100,000 figure was from January 2018.) Hope that helps. Eb 🙂
