If you are considering buying an SEO course, you want to know if it works, right? Well, who better to tell you than students who’ve taken the course? I interviewed 5 SEO Jumpstart students about how they got on with the course and what results they achieved…
When you are considering buying a course of any kind, what you really want to know is ‘Will it work for me?’ This is a question I am often asked about my SEO course, SEO Jumpstart. SEO Jumpstart is a search optimization course for bloggers who want to grow their blog traffic in a long term sustainable way, earn passive income from high paying ads and be free from the social media hamster wheel. That’s a bold claim, so naturally you want to know if it really works… and specifically if it would work for you.
Whilst I would love to promise you a specific level of traffic and income as a result of taking SEO Jumpstart, that is unfortunately not possible – there are too many variables at play! But what I can do is share with you how previous students have found the course and the results they have achieved. So I’ve gathered together 5 SEO Jumpstart Case Studies to give you a flavour of what the course is like and what is possible…
Have you achieved success with SEO Jumpstart? I’d love to showcase your blog in a future SEO Jumpstart Success Stories post! Head here to find out how to get featured.

1) Why did you enroll in SEO Jumpstart?
I enrolled in SEO Jumpstart to increase my knowledge about SEO and drive more traffic to my blog. I wanted to work smarter, not harder.
2) What did you like about the course?
I loved how this course was laid out. I had previously been intimidated by SEO, but this course allowed me to approach it in a comfortable way. I enjoyed the various modules and learning in such a productive way.
3) Which was your favourite module and why?
My favorite module was Module 3 Site Structure. I found this very helpful for my blog, and it included things I would’ve been too intimidated to do otherwise. In addition, these backend things really made a difference in my site speed!
4) How did you fit the course into your life?
I was able to take this course at my own pace, after my 9 to 5 job. I loved that it was a “go at your own pace” course.
5) What results did you see from the course in terms of your blog traffic and blogging income?
I took this course in December 2020. My traffic in December was about 35K page views. My traffic in January was 90K and I was able to qualify for Mediavine!!! This course was worth every single penny.
6) What other benefits did you get from the course?
I learned a lot about my website and how to optimize it for Google. Learning SEO and keyword search has been huge for me. I learned a lot of mistakes I made in the past, and I’ve since corrected those mistakes.

SEO Jumpstart Success Story #2: Alison Corey
1) Why did you enroll in SEO Jumpstart?
I enrolled in SEO Jumpstart because I wanted to learn how to grow my Google traffic using the best SEO practices. I looked at a lot of courses, and they were very expensive. When I found Eb’s course, it felt manageable, as well as affordable. Taking a look at the modules, it was also very thorough in every respect.
2) What did you like about the course?
The modules of the course built upon one another. I enjoyed watching the videos at the beginning of each module and then working my way through it. Everything was explained clearly. All SEO terms were explained and defined. There were even cheat sheets I could print and download that explained the SEO terms I had heard thrown around. It was easy to work through at my own pace, and most of all Eb was extremely helpful, when I came to a point in the course where I needed a bit more guidance. I emailed her my questions, and she quickly and kindly responded helping me move forward!
3) Which was your favorite module and why?
My favorite module was #3, Site Structure. It was something that I hadn’t really thought about before starting the course. The module helped me incorporate a site structure that made sense for my blog, and has not only helped grow my traffic, but made for a better user experience on my site.
4) How did you fit the course into your life?
I took about a week off of my regular blogging schedule, and dedicated the time to work through the course modules, as well as implement the suggestions throughout. Some modules took me additional time. For example, creating my cornerstone content was something that I scheduled into my blogging schedule and took a few months to get it all done. I also made Excel documents to help me organize the tasks that needed to be done on an ongoing basis. For example, editing old content, checking for broken links, adding internal links, etc.
5) What results did you see from the course in terms of your blog traffic and blogging income?
I began the course in June of 2020 and implemented the SEO tactics right away. In June my revenue from Mediavine was $1,000. In December my revenue was up to $4,700. In June I had 24K sessions from organic search. In December of 2020 I had 71K session in organic search. My highest search month was January 2021 with 89K sessions in organic search.
6) What other benefits did you get from the course?
Joining the Productive Blogging Community on Facebook has been a wonderful resource. It’s a great place to connect with other bloggers. Eb is very active, but there are numerous other bloggers that are experienced and offer their support and advice.
I loved the SEO Jumpstart course so much that I continue to review it, especially when there is an update to make sure that I’ve got all the up to date information. I also bought the Email Marketing Jumpstart course because the SEO course helped me SO much!
I also enjoy getting Eb’s weekly emails! She always offers useful and on topic information!

SEO Jumpstart Success Story #4: Jo Keohane
1) Why did you enrol in SEO Jumpstart?
As a brand new food blogger I was utterly overwhelmed by all of the noise out there. Monetization is my primary goal and I found it very difficult to know what to focus on first to ensure that my user experience was good enough to grow my blog.
2) What did you like about the course?
I knew that SEO was key but the course really helped me to understand what SEO actually is. I have used SEO Jumpstart to inform each and every decision I’ve made from planning my website to writing my content. It’s also a very practical course – with tons of easily actionable ideas. So you feel like you’re benefiting right from the start.
3) Which was your favourite module and why?
For me Keyword Research has been the most useful section of the course. It has helped me really focus in on my target reader. It has also provided me with the tools I need to make sure the recipe I am posting has a good potential audience.
4) How did you fit the course into your life?
I found the step by step guide really useful. I complete and digest bite size chunks before moving on. Crucially, I can also go back and re-do key modules as I gain more knowledge.
5) What results did you see from the course in terms of your blog traffic and blogging income?
I’m currently in my fourth full month of blogging and am already at over 4000 monthly pageviews and starting to see some of my recipes ranking in the first page on Google for certain keywords, which was beyond my expectations.
6) What other benefits did you get from the course?
Finally understanding that I don’t have to be firing scattergun across all social media all the time has been really liberating. SEO Jumpstart has given me an SEO organizing principle across the whole site and is an invaluable guide in terms of what to focus on.

SEO Jumpstart Success Story #5: Choclette
1) Why did you enrol in SEO Jumpstart?
I have a very old blog which I started when I new nothing about making money from blogs let alone SEO. But I was made redundant from my job a few years ago, so I wanted things to change and try and earn an income from the blog. I did this for a while with sponsored posts, but it became ever more difficult to earn an income that way.
Advertising was where it was at and I wanted to get some income that way. But my blog needed a complete SEO and UX overhaul.
I’d been following Eb’s super helpful blog posts on Productive Blogging for a while, so jumped at the chance to enroll in her SEO Jumpstart course.
2) What did you like about the course?
I absolutely love the course. It’s so clear and accessible with no incomprehensible jargon. It’s really easy to follow and is done in a logical order that not only sparks light bulb moments of SEO understanding, but builds a good solid knowledge base of what it’s all about.
I also really like the way each section isn’t overwhelming and is actually quite achievable. I felt I was making progress all the way through the course and improving my blog as I went along.
3) Which was your favourite module and why?
I found all of the modules really useful, but the one that I probably appreciated the most was the categories and tags one. Both of these were a complete mess and I had way too many of both. It took me a week, but I got to grips with it and came up with something much more sensible and manageable. I’m not sure I’d ever have done that if it hadn’t been for this course. I also had no idea about SEOing categories and tags either, so that was another eye opener. I’m still working my way through doing these, but at least I have some of them done now.
The Google Analytics module is brilliant too. I think a lot of us bloggers take one look at GA and run off never to return. It feels like a scary place until you get a few pointers.
4) How did you fit the course into your life?
Time is a massive issue for me, so I did the course bit by bit. But it’s done in such a way that I could easily do this without feeling I’d lost my way or forgotten where I’d got to.
5) What results did you see from the course in terms of your blog traffic and blogging income?
I started the course in June 2019. July and August were static, but summer is usually a quiet time anyway. My traffic started to rise in September 2019 and has been rising steadily every since, apart from a massive spike in April and May 2020 due to Lockdown.
I qualified for Mediavine in April 2020 (big hooray) and my monthly traffic is now triple what it was in August 2019 (18 months ago). But as I said, mine is an old blog and it’s going to take me a very long time to get it all sorted out.
Around 65% of my traffic now comes from search engines. Before doing SEO Jumpstart it was about 50%.
6) What other benefits did you get from the course?
As already mentioned, I have a much better understanding of how my blog works now. Site structure, the importance of keyword research, UX and so much more. And I know so much more about SEO now and that it comprises lots of different aspects, most of which make really good sense.

**Disclaimer** Whilst I would love to guarantee you stratospheric levels of traffic as a result of doing SEO Jumpstart, that is unfortunately not under my control. I have personally seen amazing growth as a result of doing all the things I outline in the course, as have many other bloggers who have followed my SEO advice. However, with the best will in the world, I cannot and do not promise you any specific increase in traffic or income as a result of doing SEO Jumpstart.
Hi Eb, I’ve just completed your free SEO audit and I have a lot of work to do. However I have All in one SEO instaled, is this a good alternative to Yoast? Will it do similar things?
Hi Ruth, yes it will do similar things. Though I would tread carefully with any alternative to Yoast. Yoast does a lot of stuff behind the scenes that most people aren’t aware of (see this post for more details >>> https://www.productiveblogging.com/what-does-yoast-do/) If you do decide to use All in one SEO (or any other Yoast competitor) make sure it does everything Yoast does and stays as up to date as Yoast too. (Yoast release an update every 2 weeks). I periodically look around to see what Yoast’s competitors are doing, but I’ve never seen a compelling reason to switch. Yoast is an incredible tool and the market leader by far. The team behind Yoast are also awesome – they really know their stuff, are totally on the ball with changes in SEO and very active in the WordPress community. If you want to make the switch it’s very easy to do. Details here >>> https://yoast.com/all-in-one-seo-pack-migration/ Hope that helps! Eb 🙂
