You can do that in pretty much the same way as you do in the classic editor. But I never do it as it tends to end up looking a bit wonky on at least one out of desktop/mobile/tablet, I find centred images much more predictable in their behaviour! Eb 🙂

I’ve only seen images inline, when I’m used to being able to insert an image and have the text wrap around it. It’s the one thing that’s keeping me from going to the block editor.

As a longtime web developer and designer in the greater Los Angeles area, I often need to instruct clients on the ins and outs of WordPress and now, the Block Editor. Your tutorial is my go-to referral!

If I can suggest, you might change the link symbol description (Step 7) from “paper clip” to “chain link” or some such . . . I believe that is what the symbol is commonly meant to evoke. (Paperclip symbol is used in email apps for affecting attachments. )

Thank you so much for this post! You’ve helped me immensely. I was always adverse to the block editor until now, because I didn’t know what I was doing. I feel much more confident now, and having the option toggled in settings really IS psychologically helpful. 😉 (PLUS, bookmarking this post!)
Since I’ve been using Flodesk for a while (which also uses block editing), I feel I’ll get the hang of it really quickly.
I’m excited for the new features as well!
